“Last night was supposed to be the Maskilim girls’ camp out, but it ended up raining all day so the ground was too wet. Since we had to go back to the cabin, our counselors let us sleep in our sleeping bags on the floor. It was so much fun because we still got to camp out even though we were inside.” -Elena
“My favorite part of Chalutzim is the fact that it’s a new experience everyday. We are always bonding and coming together as a family. When I was younger I did adventure specialty camp, which gave me the same bonding experience on a smaller scale. I love that Chalutzim continues that as a unit.” -Emily
“I love the backyard area. During free time before meals we just get to play gaga, tether ball, ping-pong, and swing on the swings. I feel like that is the glue that ties camp together.” -Jeremy
“4 years ago, my mom wrote me a letter telling me that we are cousins. Ever since then, we have been best friends. We don’t live near each other, so camp is a time for us to be together. We visited each other a couple of times outside camp and each time we have picked up where we left off.” -Cecilia and Zoey
